There will be a meeting of the Family Law Bar Association on Thursday, October 7 at noon, brown bag in courtroom 3. Commissioner Basden will be meeting with us to discuss a number of issues concerning his Friday docket.
The “Voting for Judges” website (http://www.votingforjudges.org) is a valuable nonpartisan source of judicial-evaluation information for candidates running for judicial office. Now in its fifth year, the site includes information about candidates for all levels of courts throughout the state.
The WSBA is a co-sponsor of this site.
Clallam County Superior Court, in conjunction with the Northwest Justice Project and Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers, is seeking a new courthouse facilitator. This is a part-time position. The Clallam County Courthouse Facilitator also provides help with filling out forms for court and family court in particular, but does not provide any legal advice. A J.D. is not required.
