1. January 21, CLE presented by Larry Freedman entitled “A Winning Case.” 1 general credit, preapproved by the WSBA.
Trial tactics and strategy start with your theory of the case, how to create it and how to use it throughout, before and during the trial. The elements of a well drafted theory of the case and the presentation of the “story” are critical to a winning case. How the attorney presents him or herself and the client make the difference. If the case is totally one way, it should be resolved without trial. It is the marginal cases that should go to trial. That is where a well-executed theory of the case, well presented by an attorney who impresses the jury and who the jury likes, will make the difference. This course will discuss how that is done.
2. February 4, social meeting.
