Update, Friday, November 22, 2024. The Court systems appear to be back online.
Update, Wednesday, November 6, 2024: The Washington Court’s internet software was apparently hacked. The Office for the Administration of Courts OAC is working with their vendor to fix the problem. Apparently it’s happened to other customers of the vendor so they have some experience fixing the problem and are actively doing so. Here is what is currently not available online:
- Court forms, normally available at www.Courts.wa.gov. INSTEAD, you should be able to access forms from WashingtonLawHelp.org at this address: https://www.washingtonlawhelp.org/resource/washington-forms-online
- Clallam County electronic filing. INSTEAD, you file paper copies of court materials in person at the Superior Court Clerk’s office (2nd floor at the courthouse, directly left of elevator door). You can also obtain court records from the Clerk.
- Odyssey Portal, JIS, JABS, Odyssey Navigator, Inside Courts, anything at www.courts.wa.gov.
OAC hopes to have the problem resolved by the weekend.
If your court case can wait, everyone would appreciate you doing so, however emergency matters are being heard by the court. For more information contact the Clallam County Superior Court Clerk’s office.
Monday, November 4, 2024. The Office for the Administrator of the Courts (OAC), which operates the court’s online systems, announced their online systems will be offline intermittently, probably at least through this week. They are apparently experiencing some sort of unauthorized activity.
The Odyssey docket, which provides information about court filings and hearing dates for individual cases is affected. JABS and other AOC-hosted information systems are affected.
Clallam County systems should not necessarily be affected. These include online filing and document purchases. Nevertheless, if you have a court hearing this week, you should allow additional time in case you need to manually file or retrieve documents at the courthouse.
As of Monday, November 4, 2024, there is no reason to believe hearings this week will be cancelled, but you should check with the court clerk throughout the week.
