Healthy Families is inviting you to put together a team to play in the April 30th Bowl-A-Thon to “Strike Out Sexual Assault!” April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and 2011 is Healthy Families’ 40th anniversary of serving residents of Clallam County!
We are planning a day of laughter, healthy competition, and general fun. Just think-who would you like to play against? Picture this—Sequim Police Dept. vs. Port Angeles Police Dept.??? How about the Atty General’s office vs. Public Defenders Office???
I have received such a great response already from folks who want to participate in the fundraising Bowl-A-Thon! Thank you for the enthusiastic response-here are the things I know so far:
Date: 4/30/11-Saturday
Time: Afternoon sometime-TBD
Fee: We’re waiting to hear how much per team
Teams: 4-6 people per team but who really cares?
Purpose-Raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month/goofy fun/celebrate HFCC’s 40th birthday/raise money for HFCC/play together instead of work together, for a change!
Competitions: For example: Best Decorated 40th anniversary cake for HFCC (and then we’ll eat them!)/Best Gutterball/Best designed team shirts/Best attitude in the face of defeat/Best bowling hair/etc.
Prizes: We don’t know yet but they will be just dandy!
I’ll keep you posted as we know more. Glenda Coleman is going to coordinate this for us, so you may eventually be hearing from her.
