Topic: 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges and the Farm Bill

We need the following:
1. Volunteers for committee to review the proposed “Legal Technician Rule”. The Board of Governors is requesting comments on a proposed rule to allow non-attorney “technicians” to take on duties currently reserved for practicing attorneys.
2. Volunteers to review scholarship notebooks. The notebooks will be ready for review by March 20. Committee members are needed now to put together this year’s screening criteria.

Celebration of life for Robin Porter

January 24, 2008

Robin Porter, past Clallam County employee, passed away on January 16, 2008, from a very sudden illness. On January 5, 2008 and was diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive brain tumor.

For those of you who knew Robin and wish to attend, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles, 110 South Penn Street. This is an open invitation and will be a pot luck event.

Robin worked for Clallam County for over 20 years in the Prosecutors’ Office until early 2007. She was working for Thurston County at the time of her death and was residing in Olympia near her daughter and grandchild. Robin Porter will be missed by all.
